A MESSAGE FROM YOUR GRAD REPS!

Hello graduates! As your representatives on the ICSS, we hope to work closely with you to ensure that the time leading up to graduation goes smoothly and pleasantly. As we close this chapter of our undergraduate career, it is a time to celebrate our accomplishments over the past several years, but also time to give back to institution that has served as our academic home: Innis College.

As grad-reps, we would like your feedback on several proposed projects that would serve both as a token of thanks to the college and a gift to the future incoming students from the graduating class of 2007. These projects would be funded by money raised this year through future events to be announced. The following projects have been proposed:

    1. TV for the new Innis Student Lounge: The college plans to add a Student Lounge space, which would be ideal for students to drop by between classes and to meet up with others. A TV for this space would be a highly-visible and useful legacy.

    2. Student Travel Fund: The college plans to establish a fund to help students who need to travel for academic or extra-curricular purposes. Students would be able to apply for and receive a contribution towards their travel expanses. A gift from the class of 2007 would help to jumpstart the process.

    3. Kitchen Sink Award: The college gives this award to one first-year student, based on outstanding academic achievement and community involvement. Last year's graduating class donated $1000 to this award and ensured that it would remain for the current school year. Further donation to this award would ensure that it would remain in place for the next school year.

We would really like to hear from you regarding which option you believe would best serve as a token of thanks to the college and represent the graduating class of 2007. Please take a quick second to send your choice to: icss.gradrep@gmail.com.

Also, please remember to register for your grad photos! We look forward to working with you in the New Year and please contact us if you have any questions!

    Your ICSS Grad Reps,
    Valery Kisilevsky & Diana Wu
